My painting, Chickens in the Yard, won first place in the Iowa Artist Regional Show at Arts on Grand, Spencer, Iowa. The final judging for the state show takes place at 2200 Beaver Ave, in Des Moines, IA on May 12.

We will have fun painting this image together. Sharing techniques. No rules, just fun. No previous experience watercolor painting needed. I keep it simple and you can add in what you like. Go home with a painting that will make you smile.
Bring your watercolor paints and paper. Grumbacher opaque or transparent sets of pan paints work well. Sets sold on Amazon. You can get 140 lb pad of Canson watercolor paper (30 sheets) at Michael's or may purchase large sheets of Arches paper at the class.
Meets once a week on Wednesday nights.

This week we are collaging watercolor paintings. Some paintings were done last week, but you can also start a new paining this night and collage in the same night. If starting a new painting I will be guiding as we paint the posted art. 12" x 12". You are always free to paint something else and create your project as you go along. Our paint nights are about fun, relaxation and letting your creativity flow. We enjoy each other and grin a lot.
